LAHORE: Technical Resource Facility (TRF), British Department for International Development (DFID) will monitor and evaluate ongoing projects of Punjab Health Department and provide assistance for implementation of Health Sector Reforms Roadmap.

This was decided at a meeting held on Friday to review ongoing cooperation between Punjab Health Department and TRF. Secretary Health Punjab Dr Ijaz Muneer presided over the meeting attended by TRF team leader in Pakistan Ms Diane, TRF Head in Islamabad Farooq Aazem, Dr Qamar Suleman, Director Punjab Health Sector Reforms Program Dr Akhtar Rasheed Malik, MD Punjab Health Foundation Izhar Ahmed Sheikh, Dr Anwar Janjua and other officers.

The meeting decided to continue and further improve collaboration. It was informed that a new project under the name of TRF Plus (TRF +) would be initiated in the current year which would continue till 2018. Under this project, TRF would provide technical assistance for capacity-building, monitoring and evaluation, enhancement of procurement capacity, change in institutional behavior and other matters.–Staff Reporter
