LAHORE - JUI-F chief Fazlur Rehman called on Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here on Saturday and discussed the matters of mutual interest.
Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that the country is passing through a critical phase of the history and the need of unity in this situation has increased much before. The government is taking along all political parties due to which matters of national importance are being resolved amicably, he added.
The chief minister assured the JUI-F leader that his government is taking steps towards right direction for coping with the challenges. Lauding the ongoing military operations and vigorous implementation on national action plan, Shahbaz hoped the terrorism and extremism would soon be eliminated.
Meanwhile, talking to provincial lawmakers, Shahbaz Sharif said the government is making round the clock efforts for resolving the issues of terrorism and energy crisis.
“Whole nation is united for eliminating the scourge of terrorism and extremism and under the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the country will be steered out of problems and put on the road to progress and prosperity,” the CM stated.
