LAHORE - After registering the historic victory in the first T20 international against Zimbabwe at the jam-packed Gaddafi Stadium, the national players expressed their delight on social micro-blogging site, Twitter.
M Hafeez tweeted: “Thanks to all crowd coming in to the maximum capacity of Qaddafi stadium. I m sure Millions wana come. Thanks 4 ur support 4 both teams.”
Ahmad Shahzad tweeted: “Although the world is full of suffering, it is also full of the overcoming of it. And 2day, Pakistan proved it Alhamdolillah.”
Umar Akmal tweeted: “Thank you all. You showed enthusiasm sportsmanship and peace. And yes thanks team Zimbabwe for trusting us.”
Former Pakistan captain Wasim Akram tweeted: “The crowd! The team! The stadium! What a Country! What a WIN! Cricket is back in Pakistan!”
