Peshawar: In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, work on several hydel power generation projects is in progress, to overcome shortage of electricity.

In a statement in Peshawar Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said, two projects will be completed this year and it will generate fifty megawatt electricity. He said, sixty one megawatt hydel power will be generated in 2018 and one hundred and fifty three megawatts in 2019.

The Chief Minister said the Executive Committee of National Economic Council has approved construction of three hydel power stations one each in Lower Dir, Shangla and Mansehra districts. These projects on completion will generate forty- eight MW electricity.
