Islamabad - A writ petition challenging the appointment of Deputy Executive Director Polyclinic Hospital Dr Iftikhar Naro on the post of joint executive director has been moved before the Islamabad High Court.
A single bench of IHC comprising Justice Aamer Farooq conducted the hearing of the petition and issued notices to secretary Capital Administration and Development Division, secretary Establishment Division and Executive Director Polyclinic.
After issuing the notices, the court also directed the respondents to submit their reply in this matter and informed the court that under what law Dr Naro has occupied the office of joint executive director.
The court issued these directions while hearing a petition moved by Riasat Ali Azad Advocate.
In the petition, Azad contended before the court that ministry of CADD issued a notification on March 25, 2014 and appointed Deputy Executive Director Dr Iftikhar who is an official of grade-19 for the three months on the post of joint executive director which is a post for grade-20.
He argued that, however, the official has still occupied the office despite the lapse of more than two years which is sheer violation of rules and regulations.
In reply to a question, the counsel stated that it is matter of quo-warranto which does not need any locus standi.
After hearing his arguments, the court issued abovementioned directions and deferred the hearing for further proceedings.
