RAWALPINDI: General Josef Becvar, Chief of General Staff Czech Republic Armed Forces called on General Raheel Sharif, Chief of Army Staff, at General Headquarters today.

During the meeting, matters of mutual interest including regional security situation and measures to enhance defence cooperation between both the countries were discussed. Czech Chief of General Staff appreciated achievements of Operation Zarb-e-Azb and paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s sacrifices in bringing peace and stability in the region.

Earlier, on arrival at General Headquarters, a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan army presented Guard of Honor to the visiting dignitary, who laid floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada.
