ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif yesterday nominated six members for the Parliamentary Committee on offshore companies, loans write offs and commission/kickbacks.

In a letter to National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said in pursuance of the motions adopted by the NA on May 19, and the Senate on May 20 on the above subject, the prime minister has nominated the members from the government benches.

The government members are Senator Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, Senator Ishaq Dar and MNAs Akram Khan Durrani, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafiq and Anusha Rehman Khan.

The opposition has already announced its six members for the committee including PPP senator Aitzaz Ahsan, PTI's Shah Mehmood Qureshi, MQM Barrister Saif, JI's Sahibzada Tariqullah, ANP's Ghulam Ahmed Bilour and PML-Q's Tariq Basheer Cheema.

The committee would meet in a couple days to finalise its terms of working and then would formally initiate the process of dialogue on finalising terms of reference for the proposed judicial commission to probe Panama leaks, loans write-offs and commission and kickbacks.
