Over Rs2.5bln released for construction of 200 schools in KP

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has released more than two and a half billion rupees for the construction of two hundred schools in the province.

According to Radio Pakistan, a spokesman of Education Department told Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent that most of these schools will be constructed in rural areas to enhance literacy rate.

The spokesman added that enrolment campaign is also underway in the province. 

So far about three hundred thousand children have been enrolled in schools.
