Palestinian envoy all praise for Pak unwavering support

Rabei says Palestinians will never forget May 21, Solidarity Day, that condemned barbaric Israeli attacks, This historical act will be remembered by the entire world and will be a history to remember for generations

ISLAMABAD - Ambassador of the state of Palestine to Pakistan Ahmed Rabei yesterday acknowledged unwavering support of Pakistan’s civil and military leadership in addition to the whole Pakistani nation who stood by the Palestinian people during the difficult time.

In a joint letter to President Arif Alvi, Prime Minister Imran Khan, Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, the envoy expressed sincere gratitude to the “great Army, the Prime Minister” and the Foreign Minister for their courageous efforts and support for the Palestine cause.

“I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude for their support the Palestinian carried out against innocent and the international community to take concrete and immediate steps for resolution of the Palestine issue,” he said. 

The ambassador said the Pakistani leadership’s efforts played a great role for emergency session of the United Nations, the subsequent ceasefire, de-escalation and an end to the Israeli atrocities.

“This historical act will be remembered by the entire world and it will be a history to remember for generations,” he said. 

Rabei thanked Pakistan for observing Palestinian Solidarity Day to show solidarity with the people of Palestine.

He said the on behalf of the Palestinian people, men, women, children, and elderly, “let me express our sincere gratitude to the brotherly people of Pakistan, great Army, all respect to the president, foreign minister, all ministers, members for their solidarity with the Palestinians, support our cause for a free and independent state, I want to convey my heartfelt gratitude for their remarkable support.” 

He said the emergency session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation was also called through Pakistan efforts. “Palestinians will never forget, May 21, Solidarity Day, that condemned barbaric Israeli attacks on the innocent civilians in the occupied Palestinian Territories, as well as the Pakistani Parliament passing a unanimous resolution systematic oppression of the people of the UN to probe the human rights violations,” said the ambassador.

He added; “I convey warm regards to many delegates from the NGOs and from different parties who have visited to express their solidarity. By working with our Pakistani brothers side by side, we will all pray together in Al-Aqsa Mosque in Shareef, the capital of Palestine.”
