A delegation, comprised of various associations of gazetted officers of the Education Department met Nankana Sahib Executive District Officer (Education) Misbah Tallat and EDO (F&P) Shehzad Saeed separately to apprise them of long-pending delicate issues being confronted by various schools administrations.

First, the delegation met with the EDO (F&P) and pointed out a chronic financial issue created by the Finance Department during previous financial year in which cheques of millions of rupees of contingency grant were dishonoured last year. The EDO assured the delegation members of the resolution of the problem within two days by enhancing the budget.

Later, the delegation members met EDO (Education) about the distribution of free practical notebooks. During the meeting, she issued strict orders for the timely distribution of free practical notebooks. The delegation also pointed out the uncalled-for pressure from the private schools associations for the removal of Muhammad Zaki Chaudhry as focal person/supervisor in Punjab Examination Commission exams for grade 5 and 8. The visiting members also requested the EDO to allow Zaki Ch to continue his duty as he was an honest, technically sound and experienced person.

At which the EDO (Education) assured that the focal person would continue his duty within a system to be developed very soon for the establishment of fool proof conduct of PEC exams for grade 5 and 8.
