CNG filling Stations Association President Nasrullah Warraich accused the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited of defying the High Court orders by disconnecting two filling stations’ gas supply by removing gas regulators without any legal justification.

He said 13 CNG filling stations in the district had obtained a stay order from the Lahore High Court regarding holidays of the filling stations.

He alleged that the SNGPL officials were interfering in their work and harassing the stations’ staff.

He said that SNGPL Mandi Bahauddin chief Asif Chaddar gave no importance to the stay orders and raided Best One and Alvi CNG filling stations along with a police party, and disconnected their gas supply.

He further alleged that Asif uttered some indecent remarks regarding the stay orders. No such raid was carried out on other CNG filling stations, he added. He said that Asif was annoyed with the owners of these two stations for obtaining stay order, and to take revenge on them, he targeted these stations.

He urged the authorities concerned to reinstall gas regulators on their CNG filling stations and restore gas supply. He also demanded proper punitive action against Asif Chaddar and his accomplices as per the law for cutting gas supply to their CNG filling stations and disobeying the order of High Court.
