LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said Sunday that it was the responsibility of the government to save law, Constitution and the system from paralysis.
In a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here at Raiwind, the prime minister said no one would be allowed to take law into his hands on Nov 30. He said the people were now well aware of those who were serving them and those who were not. He said the people had rejected those who resorted to sit-ins on every occasion.
Nawaz said law would take its course against those who take it into their hands.
The prime minister said the masses had given their verdict in the general elections of 2013 and those who had been rejected must wait for the next polls. He said the next elections would be held in 2018 and the PML-N government would fulfill all its promises with the masses.
Nawaz said ridding the people of the country from terrorism was the main priority of his government. He said Operation Zarb-e-Azb was continuing successfully against the terrorists. He said the success of the operation was the success of whole nation. The prime minister said end of terrorism would bring prosperity to the country.
The premier said progress and development was a hallmark of his government which would continue in future. The premier said all the political parties should support the PML-N in this journey of development.
