QUETTA - One person was killed while two civilians were injured after a blast near the Pak-Iran border on Sunday. Three people had initially been injured in the explosion; however one victim later succumbed to his wounds. Security was tightened in the aftermath of the blast. The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Levies and personnel of Quick Response Force reached the spot and cordoned off the area.


A child was killed and three other sustained injuries in an explosion near Pak-Iran border in Radig area of Turbat district on Sunday.

According to Levies force, unknown men had planted an explosive device beside the road which went off.

One child Ghulam died on the spot while Muhammad Samir, Muhammad Younus and Bairak sustained injuries in the blast.

The body and the injured were rushed to nearby hospital.

The body was handed over to the heirs after legal formalities.

Local administrations reached the site and cordoned off the entire area.

Further investigation was underway.

Meanwhile, a man was killed in a road mishap near Eastern Bypass area of Quetta on Sunday.

According to police, the victim Muhammad Yousaf was on his way home on a motorbike when a speedy vehicle hit him. As a result, he died on the spot.

The body of the deceased was handed over to the heirs after legal formalities. Police have registered a case.
