KARACHI - Sindh Governor Zubair said on Thursday said that a new era of development and prosperity would emerge and new job opportunities appear in the country through CPEC Project.

This he said while addressing the participants of a ceremony marking the completion of the 45th Mid Care Management Course, organised at National Institute of Management Karachi. The course duration was one and a half month which was successfully done by the 18th and 19th grade federal and provincial government officials.

Governor Zubair stated that the welfare of the people is not possible without the interest of officials towards the government policies. He added: “Officials should resolve the problems of citizens on priority basis.”

“The courses, like this, are important to boost the officials of government, who are basically its asset and their training to face the emerging challenges to protect the administration is very important.

“The government is focused on the well-being of the citizens after ensuring peace and stability in the country,” Zubair asserted. He stated that the work on the federal government’s Karachi projects was in progress so far, in which Lyari Expressway, K-4, Green Line projects were on top of the list. The federal government had also announced Karachi Development Package to rehabilitate the infrastructure of the city. “The federal government has been spending Rs 75 billion for the development of Karachi,” Zubair said and added that the living standard of Karachiites would be raised after the completion of ongoing development projects of the country’s economic hub.

The governor stated that the CPEC would be the game changer for the region, which would not only raise the employment opportunities in the country but would also be marked as the new start of success and prosperity for Pakistan.

He said that Pakistan is not only important for the peace of South Asia in view of its geographic nature, but also for the world. “The future of Pakistan’s development is highly dependent on the stability of Karachi,” Governor Sindh concluded. Karachi has become an ideal city for international investment after restoration of peace.

On this occasion, the governor also gave away certificates to the course participants.
