Islamabad sit-in: IHC issues contempt of court notice to Ahsan Iqbal

Islamabad High Court (IHC) has issued contempt of court notice to Federal Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal with reference to Islamabad sit-in. 

The court summoned him on next hearing in personal capacity. 

During the hearing today, court asked the government about sit-in and reasons the protesters are not being evicted from Faizabad. 

"The daily of lives of thousands of people are being affected but authorities are not doing anything," the court said. 

Justice Shaukat Aziz further said that issue of finality of propehthood is not issue of just few hundred people rather it is issue of whole nation. 

"The forces must have taken action against these protesters as they are not in large numbers," he said. 

"This is a serious issue for whole nation and should be resolved on emergency grounds," the court reiterated. 

The hearing of case was adjourned till November 27.
