Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Secretary-General Liaqat Baloch has said that the terrorist attack at the Chinese Consulate in Karachi and the attack in Hangu was the work of the ‘certain countries’ as an attempt to harm the Pakistan-China friendship and the national solidarity.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, Liaqat Baloch said that the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the war against terrorism were a matter of history. He also said, “However, the wrong policies of the rulers and policy-making institutions had plunged the country into the mire of difficulties and also defamed it.”

He said that the powers for whom the country had rendered huge sacrifices were still asking the country to ‘Do More’ and were not acknowledging its services. The JI secretary general said that the country was passing through difficult times and the secular forces were out to advance their agenda, while the irresponsible statements of the ministers were adding fuel to the fire.
