RAWALPINDI-The Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) organized Mehfil-e-Naat to coincide with the holy month of Rabi ul Awal.

On the occasion, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Momina Waheed was the chief guest. Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) Director Waqar Ahmed, Director PR Hamid Javed, Muhammad Shakil Awan, Nafees Khan and many others also attended the Mehfil-e-Naat.

During the ceremony, the renowned Naat Khawans Mohsin Ali, Malik Shaukat Awan, Syed Azhar Hussain, Sheikh Waqas, Qadari, Muhammad Waqas Madani, Muhammad Shahbaz, Riaz Ahmed Qadari, Qurban Niazi, Naveed Qadari, Tanvir ul Islam, Hafiz Muhammad Akram and others presented Naat-e-Rasool-e-Maqbool and Darood-o-Salam.

Speaking on the occasion, PTI MPA Momina Waheed highlighted the significance of the holy month of Rabi ul Awal and its importance for the Muslims and prayed for the progress, peace and prosperity of the country.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stressed on tolerance, understanding and respect for humanity and such occasions give an opportunity to the Muslims for recalling the teachings of Holy Prophet (PBUH), she said. She said the Muslim Umah celebrated Eid Milad Un Nabi (SAW) with religious zeal and fervour.

Meanwhile, Markazi Milad Committee Airport Road also held a Mehfil e Milad at Tabish House. The ceremony was attended by Provincial Minister for Literacy and Informal Basic Education Raja Rashid Hafeez, Mayor Rawalpindi Sardar Nasim, former MNA Malik Abrar Ahmed, ex-MPA Senator Chaudhry Tanvir Ali Khan, Raja Hanif Advocate, Malik Iftikhar, Raja Arshad, Basit Maskin, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Top City1 Kanwar Moeez Khan, Wasim Tabish and other leaders.

The speakers paid rich tribute to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). They said Prophet (SAW) was sent in the world by Allah Almighty as a model for mankind to follow and the success in this life and the hereafter depended ion following him.

 “The life of Hazrat Muhammad (SAW) is a shining example for all Muslims and we can go in Janat by moving on footsteps of our beloved Prophet,” they said.

At the end, the management distributed prizes among the members of Milad Committees whereas charity food was also served on the occasion.
