SHIKARPUR - A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Sukkur-Shikarpur National Highway near village Bhirkan in the jurisdiction of Chak police station on Tuesday.
According to a report, a motorcyclist identified as Rano Mareecho of Pano Aqil was riding a bike towards his home when a speeding car collided with his bike. As a result of heavy collision between the car and motorcycle, motorcyclist Rano Mareecho, aged 30, was killed on the spot. The unknown car driver escaped away while gearing-up his car from the scene of the incident. Soon after the incident, area police with the help of road passers transported the deceased to RHC Chak hospital for Medico Legal formalities. The body of deceased Rano Mareecho was handed over to his heirs after conducting postmortem examination. No FIR was registered till late evening.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIGP) Hyderabad Range Sharjil Karim Kharam has said that Hyderabad needed deployment of more police force at the pattern of Karachi package in order to maintain law and order with speedy action against crimes and criminals in the district.
