Our Staff Reporter MIRPUR (AJK) - The flag hoisting ceremonies in all ten district headquarters as well as and tehsil headquarters of AJK will be held to mark 65th founding day of the Azad government of the state of Jammu & Kashmir to celebrate the historic day falling on October 24 - today (Monday), it was officially declared. Acting AJK Prime Minister Ch Muhammad Yasin will hoist the national flags of Pakistan and AJK to mark the day at a special ceremony to be held at the lawn of PWD Rest House at 8:30am on Monday, official sources told this scribe here on Sunday. The grand colourful flag hoisting ceremony will be held simultaneously with the similar ceremonies to be held in other district headquarters of AJK besides the states metropolis - Muzaffrarabad, the Chairman National Events Organizing Committee Mirpur / Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tayyeb Chaudhry told this correspondent. Social and political leaders and workers, representatives of all segments of the civil society will attend. The AJK govts 64th anniversary cake will be cut at the ceremony. Besides a well dressed contingent of the AJK police will march past besides saluting to the national flag of Pakistan and AJK flag to be hoisted simultaneously in the scheduled ceremony. Meanwhile, a meeting of the National Events Organizing Committee (NEOC) presided over by its Chairman and Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Tayyeb Chaudhry, here gave final touches to the scheduled October 24 founding anniversary of the AJK government. Earlier, NEOC Secretary General Altaf Hamid Rao elaborated the importance of the founding day of the AJK government with the backdrop of the importance of its emergence this day in 1947. Meanwhile brisk preparations are afoot by Kashmiris living both sides of the line of control and rest of the world to celebrate 65th Foundation Day of Azad Jammu Kashmir government on October 24 in a befitting manner and with a renewal of pledge to continue struggle for the achievement of their legitimate right to self-determination.
