QUETTA - A man belonging to Hindu community was kidnapped here in Quetta on Saturday. According to details, Ravi Kumar was on his way at Kakar town near old bus stand within the limits of Satellite Town Police Station when unidentified armed kidnappers riding a car held him at gun-point and bundled him into the car before escaping from the site. After getting information about the incident, police reached the site. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani has strongly condemned the kidnapping of member of Hindu community and directed authorities concerned for taking immediate steps for his recovery. Police sources said security was tightened and raids were being conducted to recover abductee. 'It can be a case of kidnapping for ransom but so far kidnappers have not contacted Ravis family for ransom, they added. It may be mentioned here that incidents of kidnapping for ransom have shot up alarmingly throughout Balochistan putting a question mark on the performance of law enforcement agencies.
