OUR STAFF REPORTER ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Under-19 football team beat much superior Khan Research Laboratory (KRL) team 1-0 in a friendly match here at the Pakistan Sports Complex Jinnah Stadium on Sunday. Pakistan U-19 team is in Islamabad to prepare for the upcoming AFC qualifiers to be played in Iran. Earlier U-19 team also recorded 1-0 victory against PMC ATH Club. KRL put young lads under tremendous pressure and tried to unsettle the opponents defence with their combined moves but the U-19 players spoiled KRL attacks bravely. After surviving the early onslaught Under-19 players created one or two of their own chances and their hard work paid off in the 36th minute when Saddam Hussain took the ball from half way line and after beating the entire defence pass the ball to unmark Saadullah who made no mistake and put the ball in the net. KRL tried their best to equalize but failed to do so. Under-19 boys taken missed three or four chances due to poor finishing and inexperience but succeeded in maintaining their lead to win the 1-0.
