LAHORE Top brass of the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarian (PPPP) has decided to bring aggressive leadership in provincial partys setup to give tough time to PML-N-led Punjab Government, credible sources said. The high command has decided to change Lahore President and Punjabs General Secretary. The move is being initiated by the PPPP Co-Chairperson and president of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari after he was strongly dissatisfied with the 'performance of PPPP opposition leader Raja Riaz. The current leadership was badly failed to give suitable replies of the allegations leveled by the PML-N leadership during 'Go-Zardari-Go rallies. The President has constituted a special committed comprising four members including Jehangir Badar, Qamarul Zaman Kaira, Nazar Muhammad Gondal and Raja Pervaiz Ashraf. The committee will select suitable candidates for the 'noble task. The committee will forward these names towards Central Executive Committee, which is authorized to appoint new names including Lahore President and General Secretary. Informed sources said earlier, PPPP central leader Senator Babar Awan was sent in Punjab to criticize the leadership of PML-N including Mian Nawaz Sharif and Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders. They said the partys high command has serous reservations on Raja Riaz, who even could give tough time in Punjab Assembly where he escaped the floor several times. Bait bazi competition: The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Literary Society held a bait-bazi competition on Sunday. The competition was organised on school and university levels. In university level, Punjab University Hailey College team won first prize while Punjab University Oriental College was declared as runner up. In school level, Trust School, Amir Town team stood first while Lahore Grammar School, Township remained runner up. On the occasion, Abbas Tabish, Yasmeen Hameed, Moin Nizami, Ahmed Atta, Adnan Bashir and patron for LUMS Literary Society: Dr Noman-ul-Haq were the guests.
