OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE-Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has highly appreciated the role of young doctors and pharmacists performing duties on the health helpline in the war against dengue. While addressing a function held in recognition of services of doctors and pharmacists performing duties on health helpline here on Sunday, the chief minister said that he saluted to them for performing their duties with devotion and dedication in this hour of trial. Senator Pervaiz Rashid, elected representatives, Secretary Health, Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board and Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College were present on the occasion. He said that those performing duties on helpline had played the role like a soldier on frontline during a campaign against dengue virus and have earned the blessings of Almighty Allah by serving the ailing humanity, upon which they deserve appreciation. He said that like doctors who had saved lives of thousands of people by working round the clock, the people working at helpline had also performed an important duty of providing guidance to the people and have demonstrated best performance in the difficult situation. He also appreciated the performance of Chairman Punjab Information Technology Board Dr Javed Ghani, Secretary Health Jehanzeb Khan and Principal Allama Iqbal Medical College Dr. Javed Akram for establishing helpline. He also lauded the efforts of Dr. Javed Ghani for setting up helpline within a shortest period.
