LAHORE: A total of 537 road accidents were reported in Rescue 1122’s Provincial Monitoring Cell in all 36 districts of Punjab during the last 24 hours, in which eight lives were lost and 450 serious injured were shifted to different hospitals of relevant district. However, some 188 victims sustaining minor injuries were provided first aid on the spot.
A total of 225 drivers, 11 underage drivers, 86 pedestrians and 335 passengers were among the victims of these accidents.
The statistics show 117 RTAs were reported in Lahore Control Room, which affected 123 persons placing the provincial capital at top of the list followed by 52 RTAs in Faisalabad with 59 victims and Multan remained at third position with 41 RTAs and 42 victims.–PR
