LONDON:-England seamer Stuart Broad was set to fly out to Australia Wednesday for the upcoming Ashes series, having signed a new three-year deal with county side Nottinghamshire. The 27-year-old, also a useful lower-order batsman, is centrally contracted to the England and Wales Cricket Board and, as a result, rarely turns out for the Trent Bridge-based county. However, the new agreement means he is set to stay with Midlands side Nottinghamshire until 2016 and will be activated in full should Broad lose his place in the England squad.–AFP
