KARACHI - A gangster and a security guard were gunned down in separate incidents of violence here on Wednesday.

A youth was found dead from an empty plot within the jurisdictions of Al-Falah police station.

The body was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where he was identified as Shakir, 23. According to police officials, he was the resident of same area and was kidnapped when he left home for some work on Tuesday evening.

Shakir was shot at least four times and several marks of torture were also found on his body. Police officials said the victim was working as a security guard at the KESC office in Malir area. The motive behind the incident has yet to be ascertained.

Younus, 35, was shot dead in Mohabbat Nagar. Police officials said the victim was affiliated with the Lyari gangsters, adding he was standing near his home where at least two armed men riding a motorcycle came close to him and escaped after shooting him multiple times. He was taken to JPMC where he succumbed to injuries.

Usman Zubair stabbed to death by his brother in Sector 5/C3, North Karachi. Police said Arif Zubair, younger brother of Usman, stabbed Usman to death over some petty issue. Arif managed to flee while Usman was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital where doctors pronounced his death.

 Police said Waqar and Arif were the brothers of the victim. Arif was psychopath and he managed to flee after incident.
