Naheed Khan, former political secretary of late Benazir Bhutto, and her husband ex-senator Safdar Abbassi have said that intra-PPP elections for all offices were need of the hour.

Talking to reporters at Gojra, they stated that late Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto had given due respect to the party workers but now the situation was contrary to it.

They added that there was no importance of opinion of party workers within the party and it was pity that PPP government had failed to trace the murderers of Benazir Bhutto.

They  advised Asif Ali Zardari to separate his family from the party so that its role as Bhutto’s party could come forward while Bilawal should also decide whether he will go on the path of her mother and grandfather or will adopt policies of his father.

They also said that prime minister Nawaz Sharif had also promised in his election speeches that he will arrest the killers of Benazir but after the passage of six months nothing had been done by him in this regard.

They said before starting talks with Taliban, the government should identify its groups and leaders.
