No extra workers in Railways, says Saad

LAHORE - Railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique has said that negotiations were continuing with Punjab and KPK government to start metro train in Lahore and Peshawar.
Addressing the officers of the 16th mid-career management course Peshawar at Railways Headquarter, the minister said Karachi Circular Railways project would be completed with the cooperation of JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency).
Soft loan for 40 years period would be taken for the Karachi Circular Railways and the project would be completed with the help of Sindh government, he told the officers. “Locomotives in freight sector are being added,” he said, adding the numbers of the freight locomotives increased from eight to 25 till the present government came into power.  Khawaja Saad said the number of employees in the Railways were not extra than the department’s need. He said that no worker of the department would be jobless in future.
