LAHORE  - Fire Safety Commission Chairman Dr Rizwan Naseer convened a meeting to review the progress regarding the implementation of the orders passed by the Green Bench of Lahore High Court to ensure the safety of the occupants of high rise buildings.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary Fire Safety Commission Rafay Alam, Lahore DCO Naseem Sadiq, LDA acting DG Mariyam Kayani, Chief Town Planner Chaudhary Akram, Director (Admin) Brig Arshad Zia, Lahore District Fire Officer Noman Noor, District Emergency Officer Dr Ahmad Raza, and other officers.

Rafay Alam briefed about the orders passed by the high court on September 27. The district fire officer informed that a joint survey had been conducted of the19 tallest buildings of Lahore by LDA and Rescue 1122, which include: Siddique Trade Center, Ashiana Shopping Center, Suvoy Hotel, Asharfi Heights, Nishat Bateque Hotel, Olympia Chemical House, Ahad Tower, Kalma Heights, 11-A Abu Bakar Center, Kayre International, Ahad Arcade, Pace Tower, Mega Tower, IT Tower, Al-Fateh Shopping Mall and City Tower.
