Bahria Town announces support for Edhi

KARACHI (PR): Bahria Town has announced that it will extend maximum support to Mr. Edhi to recover the loss incurred. Chairman Bahria Town, Malik Riaz Hussain said that Edhi is a very noble and respected person and it is unfortunate that he had to experience such a thing. He offered his maximum support to Edhi. He said that he would try to compensate the losses of Abdul Sattar Edhi suffered in the recent dacoity. “I respect Abdul Sattar Edhi and I can’t leave him alone in difficult times,” Riaz said. In this regards Zain Malik (VCE – Bahria Town) met with Edhi at his residence.

Bahria Town has always been at the forefront whenever the nation is in need of help. Bahria Town has an entire division dedicated towards Corporate Social Responsibility & Disaster Management. Bahria Town has been there for the nation during all catastrophic events such as the 2014 floods, North Waziristan IDP’s, Tharparkar drought etc . 

UK university, ACCA offer free business course

 LAHORE (PR): A new initiative has been launched which enables anyone in Pakistan to study business for free at a renowned UK university, thanks to a collaboration between global accountancy body ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), the University of Exeter Business School and online learning platform Future Learn.

Together, they have launched a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) – Discovering Business in Society – which is free to study and open to anyone in the world with access to the internet.

Dengue awareness campaign at Metro store

LAHORE (PR) METRO Pakistan in collaboration with Government of Punjab and TMA Data Ganj Baksh has initiated a Dengue Awareness Campaign which has been launched from METRO Ravi Store, Lahore. It is a special awareness campaign which is launched to benefit METRO customers and employees.

Store Manager Ravi Store, Muhammad Amin presented METRO’s Initiatives for safety and hygiene while Arooj Aftab, Provincial Entomologist Directorate Health Punjab delivered a detailed informative lecture on Dengue. METRO employees had an informative interactive session with the presenters.

Habib Metro, Money Gram cash award ceremoney

LAHORE(PR): HabibMetro Bank recently conducted a campaign by the name of ‘Cash it with Money Gram’ in collaboration with Money Gram International, wherein remittance recipients during the period of July - September 2014 contested for the prizes offered. In a ceremony that marked the end of the campaign, 3 winners were selected by a raffle draw conducted by Sirajuddiin Aziz, President & Chief Executive Officer HabibMetro Bank.

Customers from Kamoke, Lahore and Baghbanpura received cash rewards of Rs. 50,000, Rs. 25,000 and Rs. 15,000, respectively. In addition to this, 20 other customers were also given a cash reward of Rs. 5,000 each. 

90th anniversary of Toastmasters International

ISLAMABAD (PR): On 90th Anniversary of Toastmasters International, A joint Humorous speech Competition among the members of ICMAP Toastmasters Club & Islamabad Toastmaster Club was held. This kind of competition is a permanent feature of Toastmaster Club International and provides its club members a unique opportunity to diversify and enrich their communication and leadership skills.

Seven eminent Toastmasters participated as contestants in this competition including TM. Ghalib A Tahir, TM. Muhammad Yasin Butt, TM. Muhammad Nawaz,TM Asad U Rehman,  DTM Sajjad Ahmed,  TM Aasim Nazir and, TM. Sahban Zafar Ali participated in contest.

At the end of competition, Judges Mr. Mohsin Lohdi, M. Yousuf Khan, Shahid Qureshi carried out their evaluation and Chief Judge Mohsin Lohdi announced the results. TM  Asif Nazir won the contest. DTM Sajjad Ahmed got second position and TM. Sahban Zafar Ali captured the third position.

A healthy number of Toastmasters from both the clubs graced the occasion.
