LAHORE - Danish band Rocqawali is on its first tour to Pakistan. The band has created a unit to spread the Sufi message ‘Love across all religious, political and physical borders’ that started out as a cultural collaboration between Pakistan and Denmark, has turned into a fireball of a spiritual rock band.  Rocqawali mixes the Pakistani/Indian Sufi music of Qawali with a Western back drop of Rock´n´Roll, in a contemporary way a more than a 1000 year old Trance tradition that whirls the age old Eastern love songs for God, into a western Rock tradition.  Among the band members includes Jonas Stampe, guitarist Stephan Grabowski - drummer Tin Soheili, guitarist, Tomas Nesborg bassist and Ejaz Ali Sher, vocals and harmonium player.
