LAHORE - The residents of Katcha Ferozepur Road (near Mozang Chungi) have called upon their MNA -  Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq – to honour his pre-election commitment and provide un-interrupted gas and water to the locality. Otherwise, they said in a statement on Thursday, they would be constrained to come out on the streets.

Muhammad Wajid, Malik Ashfaq, Sheikh Idrees, Khwaja Muhammad Farooq, Khwaja Majid, Saleem Akhtar, Abdur Razzaq, Kafayatullah, Anjum Butt, Abdur Rauf, Muhammad Jamshed and many others said they had voted for Sardar Ayyaz with the hope that he would pay attention to all problems of his constituents. However, they said, it was regrettable that he had failed to come up to their expectations.

They claimed that they had not only voted for the PML-N leader but had also spent money in his electioneering to ensure his victory.

The statement said that gas was available to the locality only for three months of the year. During the remaining nine months, they said, they had to visit their elected representatives with the request to supply them gas and water.

The voters of Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq’s constituency pointed out that the situation in the neighbouring GOR-II was totally different and the residents thereof faced no such problem. This, they said, meant that there was no justification for the relevant authorities to deny Katach Ferozepur residents of these facilities.
