AHMEDPUR EAST -  Arrest of Imran Khan is also an option to avert the PTI proposed plan to lockdown Islamabad, State Minister for Federal Education and Interior Engineer Balighur Rehman said.

Addressing mediamen here on Sunday, he claimed that Imran Khan is afraid of the CPEC as completion of this mega project would bury his politics. To a question about the possible participation of the activists of terrorist organisations in the PTI sit-in, he said that the government is aware about the threats and making all-out efforts to avert any unpleasant incident.

Praising prime minister's success in foreign policy, he said that the Kashmir issue has got world's attention and Indian dream of isolating Pakistan in international community has been spoilt. He informed that that Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, OIC and other countries and organisations are supporting Pakistan's stand on Kashmir. Unveiling government's efforts to provide requisite facilities to Hujjaj, he claimed this year, for the first time, lawmakers and common men were provided same facilities on Hajj.

He disclosed that on his request, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has approved the launch of a pilot project in Bahawalpur under which the students from 1st to 5th class will be taught Nazra-e-Quran in all government and private schools. Similarly, the students from 6th to 10th class will be taught Quran with Urdu translation. He informed that a bill on Teaching Holy Quran as a compulsory subject is also likely to be approved by the Parliament.

MPA Fauzia Ayub Qureshi, PML-N leaders - Qazi Adnan Farid, Tariq Rasheed Malik, Shahid Abdullah and Rao Rizwan were also present on the occasion.
