KARACHI: A sessions’ court in Karachi on Monday handed over a Rangers man to police on a four-day physical remand for killing a colleague over personal dispute.

The court was hearing a murder case of paramilitary officer Mashooq Ali, who was gunned down by his colleague in broad daylight over personal dispute.

Accused Murtaza Ali was presented in the court amid strict security. The court also reserved its verdict and adjourned the hearing.

The incident occurred on October 23 in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area within the remits of Sharah-e-Faisal police station.

Police said that both Rangers personnel collided over some issue which resulting in one killing near the police station.

A spokesman for Jinnah Hospital said that the Rangers man was pronounced dead at 6:17am on arrival at the hospital.
