PESHAWAR -  Central Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Senator Siraj-ul-Haq, has proposed shortening of five-year government tenure up to the period of four years to stop corrupt politician from looting the national exchequer.

He said this while addressing the second day of public congregation in Aza Khail Park Nowshera on Sunday. Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Central leader Liaqat Baloch also addressed the gathering. Siraj said that government should respond on the issue of Panama gate and must present themselves for accountability.

He also blamed the Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for putting huge burden of loans on Pakistani nation.

Siraj also welcomed the decision of Sindh High Court regarding banning of alcohol in Karachi and appealed the Supreme Court to extend the decision to other parts of the country including Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan.

JI leader said if Jamaat-e-Islami comes into power, it would implement the system of inheritance in the entire country and would arrest those people who are not giving share in their property to women.

He said that Jamaat-e-Islami will also fix the salaries of religious scholars teaching in various seminaries and would fix scholarships for Ulema and unemployed youth of the country.

He said that Qauid-e-Azam had repeatedly said in his address that future of Pakistan is adhered with Quran and Sunnah but unfortunately the country has been hijacked by secular mindsets who were implementing the agenda of western powers.

He said that country has abundant natural resources like coal, gold, marble, granite and gas but unfortunately these resources were not utilized by the self-centred leadership.  He said that when a party could not bring democracy at party level, then how they will bring democracy in the country.

He criticized the Sindh and Balochistan government for not taking steps for eradication of poverty in their province. He said that people of Sindh have elected Pakistan People’s Party but it has not taken any step for their welfare.

On this occasion, Provincial Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan announced party’s manifesto for 2018 elections. He said if Jamaat-e-Islami came into government, they would introduce reforms in various departments like health, education, agriculture and energy.

He said that the country has great potential of producing electricity and JI would utilize this potential to built small dams to generate revenue for the province.

He said that they would root out corruption from the country and will bring a system of accountability.

Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said that KP would be connected with Central Asian republics through China Pakistan Economic Corridor, which would bring prosperity and development for the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He added that intelligent students would be awarded scholarships for higher education and would broaden a network of colleges and universities across the country.
