ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri on Monday accepted Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s invitation to join PTI’s November 2 protest in Islamabad.

According to well-placed sources, Imran Khan contacted Dr Tahirul Qadri and requested his participation in the protest.

PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and Awami Muslim League head Sheikh Rashid confirmed the important political development.

“This is a major breakthrough for our protest movement. Dr Tahir ul Qadri’s participation in the sit-in will boost our campaign to oust the government,” said the PTI leader.

Speaking to a private TV channel, PAT leader Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that his party would take part in the PTI-led protest.

“We will decide modalities about the level of our participation,” he said, adding that Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah himself admitted that his government shielded Model Town killers.
