18 street criminals arrested

LAHORE - Investigation police on Tuesday claimed to have smashed six gangs of robbers by arresting their 18 members who were wanted to the police in several cases of armed robberies.

SP (Iqbal Town) Bilal Zafar while addressing a press conference at his office on Tuesday said the arrests were made during a crackdown launched on the criminals involved in street crimes. Several teams of Sadar police division and Iqbal Town (investigation police) took part in the operation. The police also seized cash and looted valuables worth Rs 10.18 million and firearms from their possession. The arrested suspects were identified by police as members of Mana dacoits gang, Kami gang, Moni gang, Safdar Langra gang, Tariq gang, and Badal gang.
