LAHORE KPT gained full three points as they overcame PIA 2-1 at KPT Benazir Sports Complex while KESC were held to 1-1 draw by NBP at Peoples Sports Complex in Karachi. Both the matches of Pakistan Premier Football League drew large soccer enthusiasts at Karachi All the goals in highly-absorbing tie between two arch rivals were scored in the second session. Shahid Saleem was the first to score after he received a ball from Muhammad Bin Younus and stroked it to nets in the 51st minute. Abdul Ghaffar made full use of 58th minute penalty kick given by Ex-FIFA Referee Jehangir Khan for a reckless challenge by KPTs full back Akhtar Mamil.
