Gold, cash looted from family

KASUR - Unidentified dacoits deprived a family of gold, cash and other valuables worth Rs one million on Sunday, at Peerowala Road in the limits of Sadar Kasur police station.
Four unidentified forcibly entered the house of one Muhammad Bashir, a bakery owner, and held the family hostage.
Later, the dacoits collected Rs 6 lakh in cash, 8 tolas of gold ornaments and other valuables. Police is looking into the matter.

Atif alongwith his brother Asif was on his way from Jaranwala to Rajbah Niaz village on his car LEJ-2165 when three unidentified dacoits intercepted their car near Hayat bridge. One of the robbers shot dead Atif when he put up resistance.

Sughran Bibi, wife of farmer Muhammad Iqbal was on her way home from the fields when unidentified rivals killed her with a sharp edge knife. Police was looking into the matter.
