BAHAWALPUR - Police claimed to have busted a gang of human traffickers who kidnapped particularly young girls and sold them out, with arrest of four alleged members of the gang. Deputy Superintendent of Police Mirza Arif Rasheed said that the police have also recovered 12-year-old Asma who was kidnapped three months ago and sold out at a brothel. The Civil Lines police arrested 4 accused including Shumaila alias Kanwal, Muhammad Muzamil, Majid Saleem and Shahzad. However, another accused Shahzad was arrested on the information provided by the victim. The police are conducting raids in search of the other members of the gang.Asma said that they used her for prostitution on different places, complaining when she refused to do so, they beat up her. Asma's Father, Muhammad Usman, said that they were receiving threats of murder from the other members of the gang.He appealed to the officials concerned to provide his family with protection and take quick action against the criminals.
