The boy students clinched most of the top positions in the results of Intermediate Part-II Examinations 2013 declared by different Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education across Punjab on Monday.

According to details, girl students outshined their male counterparts in the Intermediate Part-II annual examination 2013 conducted by the Gujranwala Board by grabbing most of the top positions.

As per result declared by the Gujranwala Board, over first two top positions were clinched by girl students.

Lubaba Mukhtar, a student of Superior College for Women Sialkot got first by position securing 1031 marks while second position went to Hafiza Aneeqa of Punjab College Gujranwala who secured 1021 marks. The third position was grabbed by Hassan Bin Aziz of Quaid-e-Azam Public College Gujranwala by scoring 1020 marks.

In Pre-Engineering, Muhammad Tamoor bagged first position with 1017 marks in boys while Zuhra Sarfraz stood first in girls by obtaining 1007 marks.

In Pre-Medical Group, Hassan Bin Aziz and Lubaba Mukhtar stood first in boys and girls groups respectively.

In Commerce group Salman Aslam secured first slot with 964 in boys and Momna Maqsood and Kosar Arif jointly enjoyed first position with 982 marks each in girls. Similarly Fahad Mushtaq and Javeria captured first position in General Science by securing 985 and 1014 marks respectively while Ishtiaq Ahmed and Muneeba Aslam stood first in Arts Group with 947 and 946 marks respectively.

In FAISALABAD, the BISE Faisalabad announced the Intermediate annual examinations 2013 results.

As per result announced by the BISE Controller (Examinations), boys outshined in intermediate examinations as all the first three positions were bagged by five boys. The result was declared at a function held at the Board Complex Auditorium. Punjab Food Minister Bilal Yaseen was the chief guest on the occasion while BISEF Chairman Ejaz Farooq Akram was guest of honour.

According BISE Controller Malik Zafar Iqbal, some 70,575 students participated in the exams out of which 37,165 passed out with the overall passing percentage of 52.66 per cent.

As per overall first position was grabbed by Muhammad Kamal Subhani and Anas Tariq with 1034 marks each, second position was clinched by Muhammad Omer Javaid with 1027 marks and Shahzad Azam and Muhammad Muneeb Farhat stood third with 1026 marks each.

In pre-medical group boys, Muhammad Kamal Subhani took first position with 1034 marks, Shahzad Azam remained second with 1026 marks and Muhammad Abdullah got third position with 1018 marks.

In pre-medical group girls, Noorul Alan Fatima took first position with 1023 marks, Aneeqa Ali and Haneeya Anjum jointly bagged second position with 1022 marks each and Maham Shafique and Saba Tahir shared third position with 1021 marks each in the group.

In pre-engineering group boys, Anas Tariq got first position with 1034, Muhammad Omer Javaid stood second with 1027 marks while Muhammad Munir Farhat stood third with 1026 marks in the group.

In general science group girls, Sundas Farooq secured first position with 986 marks, Esra Younas followed her with 973 marks while Ayesha Khan remained third with 970 marks in the group.

In arts group boys, Muhammad Yasir Butt led with 935 marks, Tariq Mehmood remained runner-up with 930 marks and Asmat Ullah Nasir got third position with 926 marks in the group.

In arts group girls, Fajar Javaid obtained first position with 954 marks, Sania Javaid remained second 940 marks and Saira Zulqarnain stood third with 938 marks in the group.

In commerce group boys, Muhammad Samar Amin bagged first position by getting 921 marks, Salman Hameed stood second with 908 marks and Ahsan Munir got third position by scoring 906 marks.

In commerce group girls, Anum Ahmad stood first with 962 marks, Hira Tayyab remained second by getting 932 marks while Humna Boota grabbed third position with 923 marks.

All the position holders were awarded with medals and prizes by the provincial minister and BISE chairman.

In SARGODHA, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education announced the results of Intermediate Part-II Examinations 2013. According to BISE Controller (Examinations), about 31,821 candidates appeared in the examination out of which 18,790 were declared while the passing percentage remained 59.04.

As per details, Haziq Amjed Roll Number 425668 of PAF Public School College Sargodha got 1st position with 1021 marks while Wahaj Ahmed Roll No 425655 of the same school and Akash Gull of Superior College of Commerce jointly obtained second position with 1016 marks each. Whereas Amayla Ikram of District Public School and College Joherabad stood 3rd with 1014 marks. Provincial Minister for Labour Raja Ishfaq Sarwar was the chief guest of the ceremony. He conferred medals and certificates on the position holders.

MIRPUR (AJK), the AJK Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mirpur announced the salient features of results of annual Intermediate Part-II examinations including the names of top 20 position-holding students.

The colleges running in the private-sector remained at top securing distinction as compared to the colleges running in government sector across the AJK.

The private-sector Al-Ghazali College of Sciences Kotli remained on top as its students Shoaib Salim (Roll No. 505571) clinched first position by securing 1023 out of 1050 marks. Similarly, Zameena Fatima (Roll No. 510375) of Spring Field Children Academy Bagh and Marayam Latif (Roll No. 500897) of Insite Model College Bhimbher respectively secured second and third position with 1004 and 1002 marks.
