LAHORE  - An Election Tribunal judge allowed time to Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to submit his reply on an application filed by PTI Chairman Imran Khan requesting recounting of votes cast in NA-122, Lahore.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chief Imran Khan had lost the seat in NA-122 against PML-N candidate Ayaz Sadiq in May 11 general elections.

As proceedings started, the counsel of the Speaker appeared before the tribunal and requested for more time to file his reply.

The tribunal accepting his plea adjourned the hearing till next week.

As per details, PTI Chairman Imran Khan, through his appeal, alleged massive rigging in the constituency at the hands of PML-N candidate.

He submitted the victory of Sadiq was a result of poll rigging and fake votes.

He requested the Election Tribunal to get the vote recount in the constituency through NADRA.
