ISLAMABAD : Prices of various petroleum products are likely to increase by up to Rs 4 per litre from October 01. According to OGRA sources, the rise is expected because of soaring oil prices in international market wherein crude oil prices have gone up to $114 per barrel from $111 per barrel. In the local market, petrol prices are likely to increase by Rs4 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs2.50 per litre, diesel by Rs2 a litre and light diesel oil by Rs2.15 a litre. Sources said Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority will send the final summary on September 29 to the ministry of petroleum for approval in this regard.
