PM grieves over Mina tragedy

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of pilgrims, due to stampede at Mina, Makkah today.

He prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and commiserated with the bereaved families, a statement issued from the PM Office said. The Prime Minister directed the Pakistan’s Ambassador in Saudi Arabia, to visit injured at the hospitals and provide facilitation to the injured and the martyred as much as possible.

It may be noted that at least 310 pilgrims died, while another 450 were wounded in a stampede during the stoning of Satan at Mina today.
