RPO for ensuring foolproof security on Eid

Rawalpindi - Regional Police Officer Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja has ordered police to carry out search operations in Rawalpindi region to maintain law and order on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
He also ordered to erect special pickets on all the exit and entry points of the region and to check all the vehicles and people properly to avoid any untoward incident on the occasion of Eid. “Armed cops will guard Eid congregations, public parks and resorts keeping in view the huge influx of public during Eid holidays,” he added.
The RPO issued these directions yesterday during a meeting held at his office to review the security arrangements being made to maintain law and order on Eid. The meeting was attended by City Police Officer (CPO) Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi, district police officers of Attock, Jhelum and Chakwal, Senior Traffic Officer Zulfiqar Hussain, and SPs Muhammad Ateeq Tahir, Malik Iqbal and Dr Sardar Ghias Gull.
The RPO ordered police officers to ensure tight security measures for all Eid congregations. He said the car parking should be made at a proper distance from prayer venue while the devotees should also be checked through walkthrough gates and metal detectors. He said that the men in civvies should also be deputed at parks and resorts to keep a vigil on suspects and terrorists. He also directed the senior traffic officer to control traffic flow during Eid in the city by deputing extra force of traffic wardens. 
Meanwhile, City Police Officer Israr Ahmed Khan Abbasi established a special cell to register the data of landlords and the tenants under the Punjab Information of Temporary Residence Act 2015, informed a police spokesman. According to him, the special cell would work round the clock and would collect the data of house owners and tenants.
