The district police have busted two inter-provincial dacoit gangs and arrested their 10 members.

The police have recovered 14 animals, 3 motorcycle, two cellphones, gold balian 2, 1 carban, 3 pistal 30 bore, one Kalashnikov and Rs2 million from their procession.

Addressing a press conference at Khangarh on Wednesday, DPO Awais Ahmed Malik said that the gangs had been using Muzaffargarh as a dumping ground.

The DPO said that the Kot Addu police arrested Tanweer Joota gang along its ringleader Tanveer Joota, Mohammad Asif, Ghulam Hussain and Farooq, residents of Shahdan Lund (District Dera Ghazi Khan).

He said that the police SHO Inspector Muhammad Sadiq Rind along with police party also arrested Sulman Noor Gand along with Mujhad Wada, Mushtaq Hussain, Dilawar, Allah Diyyia and Gul Bahar along gang ringleader Salman Shah Jamal (District Muzaffargarh).

He said that the gang had been involved dacoity, murdered and robbery.

He reaffirmed the commitment to root out corruption and make the district police corruption free. “No one within the department would be allowed to do any kind of embezzlement and only those following the policy of zero tolerance against corruption would survive,” he added.
