LAHORE - Experts have forecast mainly sunny and dry weather for most parts of the country including Lahore on Eidul Azha and following days.

As no rain giving system is approaching the country, the weather is likely to remain dry across the country till Monday (September 28). Meanwhile, Lahore received scattered rains on Wednesday, making weather pleasant.

Though abundance of sunshine caused increase in the daytime temperature, the weather remained pleasant due to continuously blowing winds. Maximum and minimum temperature in the city was recorded 30 degree Celsius and 21C respectively.

Relative humidity in the evening was recorded 76 per cent.

According to the experts, seasonal low lies over Balochistan. A westerly wave is still affecting upper parts of the country and likely to move northeastwards in next 12 to 18 hours.

Local meteorological office has forecast mainly dry weather for most parts of the country including Lahore during the next 4-5 days. However partly cloudy weather conditions are likely to prevail over Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas.

On Wednesday, Murree received 148mm rain, Rawalakot 114mm, Garhi Dupatta 95mm, Islamabad 88mm, Muzaffarabad 66mm, Mangla 54mm, Jhelum 47mm, Kotli 44mm, Kakul 42mm, Rawalpindi 36mm, Skardu 31mm, Chillas 28mm, Sialkot 27mm, Balakot 25mm, Gilgit and Astore 24mm each, Shorkot 22mm, Jhang and TT Singh 20mm each, Okara 19mm, MB Din 15mm, Faisalabad and Gujrat 14mm each, Bunji 13mm, Gujranwala 12mm, Hunza 08mm, Lahore and Parachinar 05mm each, Kasur, Malamjabba, Mithi, Pattan and Kalam 03mm each, Chakwal, Gupis, Kamra, Dir and Multan 02 mm each and Sargodha 01mm.
