islamabad (PR) - Director German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Lars Bergmeyer conducted an orientation session at Roots International Schools, Wellington Campus, with the students of International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Advanced Level students.
During the session, Bergmeyer enlightened the forthcoming university students about university application procedures, free of cost and discounted tuition fee universities, undergraduate programmes and subject selection and the scholarship opportunities available at the German universities for the international students, says a press release issued here yesterday.
Speaking to a group of high school students, Bergmeyer emphasised on how DAAD has since become one of the most important funding organizations in the world for the international exchange of students and researchers. The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) originally is a publicly-funded independent organization of higher education institutions in Germany. Each year DAAD, its Regional Branch Offices, its Information Centres, and DAAD Professors around the globe provide information and financial support to over 120,000 highly-qualified students and faculty for international research and study per year.
This year Director DAAD selected Roots International Schools for these sessions and he explained the students during the orientation about the importance of early preparation regarding university application since, given the amount of time each application can take up, it’s important to think carefully about where the candidates really want to apply.
The session also focused and covered major aspects, concerns and apprehensions that our young individuals face before embarking on the journey of university life. Making the right choice through guidance and support is the key to successful future. “The key thing for an applicant to understand is the kind of educational environment that will suit best as per their way of learning”, said Mr. Lars Bergmeyer.
The students fully participated in this session, receiving all the answers to their queries, thus getting fully benefitted from this orientation seminar. The successful session helped to educate, inform and clear ambiguities regarding subject selection, internship and career opportunities, foreign applications for the benefit of individuals seeking foreign education of undergraduate or post graduate level.
The two-hour seminar aimed to educate the youth about avoiding the common mistakes which are made while planning their future plans.
To achieve lasting success, an institution must equip their students with the skills necessary to thrive in an ever-changing world. For students wishing to succeed in worldly affairs, skills such as innovative thinking, resourcefulness, and perseverance are necessary. Roots International School and University offers students a hands-on way to develop these skills, and many more, in the most powerful way possible.
Roots International School is a unique and emerging center which supports its students as they take their new ideas to the international and local authorities and attempt to build a model that solves a real world problem. Armed with seed funding, mentor support, and a burning desire to turn their idea into something much more, these students plunge into the marketplace feet first in an attempt to survive and then thrive. Some of these students will have ideas that fail, others will find massive success with their ideas; all of them will learn more about themselves, and the international arena, than they ever imagined possible.
The RIS ascertains that it plays a vital role in developing an enlightened and well-aware youth population that is able to play a positive role in shaping the world, nation building, and makes valuable contribution all the sectors of society that is unmatched.
