islamabad - On the directions of Minister of State, Capital Administration & Development Division Dr Tariq Fazal Ch, a one-day workshop titled ‘Role of E-Learning in the Social Uplift of Pakistan’ was organized by National Council of Social Welfare in collaboration with Centre for Information Technology, Islamabad.

Chairman National Council of Social Welfare (NCSW), Dr Nadeem Shafiq Malik chaired the seminar while Director General (CIT) Amaar Jaffari was the chief guest along with Umeed Ali Mahar, Country Director CIT.

Representatives of civil society, NGOs, students and other stakeholders attended the seminar. Professionals of e-learning presented their lectures on the role of e-learning in the social uplift of Pakistan and also briefed E-Pakistan Vision 2025.

In his presidential address, Dr Nadeem Shafiq Malik said that future of e-learning in Pakistan is very bright. The Pakistani young generation is very intelligent and performs excellent in every field of life like education, science, health, sports, social welfare and other fields including defence through use of modern technology.

The objective behind today’s workshop is raising awareness regarding the use of modern technology like e-learning for the social development of the under-developed areas.

He further said that it is good sign that e-learning in Pakistan is becoming popular day by day. He urged upon the youth and social workers to come forward and make this commitment that together we will make Pakistan a developed country through using modern technology and scientific knowledge.
