Younus recovering, Basit admitted to hospital

KARACHI - Pakistan's prolific cricketer Younus Khan, who is in hospital these days, has been recuperating fast and would be discharged in next couple of days.

Talking to media persons on Friday here at a local hospital, where he had been admitted for treatment of his illness, Younus said that he had a number of medical tests and all these were okay and there was nothing to worry about his health.

He pointed out that he had a fever before Eid, but he did not disclose it to his family. “As with the time the temperature was going up, he visited the hospital where he had many tests and there was nothing to worry.” In a lighter vein, Younus replied that neither he had dengue nor any other disease found in tests.

Laying in hospital bed surrounded with bouquets, Younus thanked his fans for enquiring and wishing him for early recovery.

The former Pakistani captain said that he was eager to get well soon and join his teammates playing against West Indies in Dubai.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan batsman Basit Ali has been admitted to the hospital after his sugar level went critically high. According to the doctors, Basit Ali’s sugar level had gone extremely high due to which he fell ill. They told that the former Pakistan great’s left eye was also affected due to the same issue. The doctors have advised Basit to take complete rest.
